wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure
To say Jade is displeased would be an understatement. It's not that he cares about this detention tarnishing his record, no. He doesn't really care about his record. What he does care about is how it cuts into his studying time. He had just come across a particularly fascinating snippet on the nature of death and the soul...
(And besides, those Hufflepuffs had started it with their incessant chattering. They're like a less annoying version of Saphir, and nobody had ever really objected when he hexed Saphir. And it's not like he used a serious hex; he just sealed and removed their mouths. Easily reversible, if they knew what they were doing - and knew how to use nonverbal spells.
After all, what kind of first-year doesn't know how to use nonverbal spells?)
But someone had taken offense to his hex, and now he finds himself trudging to Professor Rammsteiner's office, growing increasingly irritated at the loss of his study time. From what he's heard of detentions, they usually entail doing useless, mundane tasks easily accomplished with a little creative wandwork. He's thought about ignoring Professor Rammsteiner's orders more than once, but he's also been told that it would just lead to more detentions and thus a bigger waste of time.
Oh well. He's here now. With one last irritated sigh, he raises his hand to the door and knocks.
"Professor Rammsteiner? This is Jade Curtiss."

"The water task?" That's Heine's guess. He has the feeling that there's some kind of fantastical beast or creature under the surface of that water—they'd already had a puzzle, after all.
no subject
Heard, eavesdropped, same difference.
"What do you think?" He continues, crouching at the side of the pool, but keeping a respectable distance from the edge.
no subject
And it'd also involve solving the problem of fighting underwater, so involve more than just the challenge of combat-based spells. While he thinks on it further, Heine doesn't go near the edge of the pool, standing over by the doorway.

Then his eyebrows draw together in a frown. That touch felt like...
"Can you come here for a moment?"
no subject
"What is it?"
There's movement again. Water slaps softly against the sides of the pool.
no subject
"I want to test something."
And he'll try shove Professor Rammsteiner into the water.
no subject
"What the fuck—"
He's cut off just as abruptly when something wraps around his ankle and drags him down. Almost immediately he sends a spell underwater, but without an idea of where to aim it just enrages whatever lies beneath the surface of the water further. It lashes out another appendage, grabbing for Jade.
no subject
At least now he knows for certain that there's something in here. Not that it'd help him if he dies here. He's being dragged down alongside Professor Rammsteiner, pulled deep underwater, as whatever is coiled around their ankles start slithering up, until it's wrapped around the whole length of their legs.

The creature flinches, releasing its grip just long enough for Heine to kick hard and pull free. He swims for the surface. But feet away from breaking through, another tentacle, slick and immeasurably strong, catches him around the shoulder and moves up to wrap tight around his neck.
no subject
Jade is faring no better. He doesn't dare draw his wand, not when it might be lost to the depths forever. Wandless magic works for him poorly, as it always has; the creature doesn't even seem to feel his attacks. All the while, the tentacle coils higher and higher, even as he feels his lungs burn for air. Where's Professor Rammsteiner? What is happening?
no subject
Jade too is lifted to the surface so that he doesn't completely drown. A second tentacle joins the first on him as the coils of the first loosen, pressing between his legs and up under his robe.
no subject
Jade gags at the taste of salt water, biting down out of reflex. What's going on? He twists, trying to get free — then stops cold, feeling the press of the first tentacle against his groin, questing around with what seems like a sense of purpose.
Startled, Jade blinks the water from his eyes, looking around for Professor Rammsteiner. It doesn't look like he'll be of much help, unfortunately. There's a tentacle coiled around his neck and covering his nose, keeping him subdued. As Jade watches, fascinated despite himself, another tentacle snakes under Professor Rammsteiner's robe and strains, trying to rip the whole garment apart.
no subject
Suddenly cold air hits his skin, far sharper than he expected. He struggles again, dizzy with lack of air, making the torn fabric of his clothes fall away. He manages to focus on Jade but can do nothing more than that.
The tentacle exploring around Jade's waist sticks itself under his waistband and deeper, sliding around the join of his hip and thigh to go between his legs.
no subject
He sucks in a breath when the tentacle first fits itself under his clothing. Under the coldness of the salt water, the tentacle is surprisingly warm, a sinuous flex of muscle gently undulating against his skin. He parts his legs by instinct, shuddering. A hot flush is creeping over his face; he doesn't look at Professor Rammsteiner.
Meanwhile, the tentacle trapping Heine tightens it's grip, trying to stop the squirming of its prey. More tentacles extend; these wrap around Heine's ankles, gently but firmly pulling his legs apart.
no subject
Heine keeps struggling. It's too much for the creature's liking, and when he continues it squeezes on the sides of his neck again. Heine is red in the face when he stops fighting it, eyes watering when he goes limp.
By then the appendages raising Jade just out of the water have started trying to press into him in earnest, one thrusting the first inch or so in and out of him. They aren't rough, but they aren't gentle, feeling carefully for Jade's limits and then methodically pushing past then.
no subject
But for what purpose?
He doesn't have time to even think up a single possibility before the tentacle rubs over his entrance again. This time, it's not a flick. It presses forward, and Jade feels a curious mix of resignation and tension, knowing what's about to come and helpless to stop it.
The appendage sinks into him easily. He hisses, biting down harder on the tentacle still in his mouth.
Distantly, he's aware that Professor Rammsteiner had stopped struggling. Is he still conscious? He can't tell, especially when he keeps his head bowed like that, only looking at Professor Rammsteiner from the corner of his eyes.
Not that the tentacles care about Heine's state of consciousness. The moment he goes limp, they tighten against him even more thoroughly. More tentacles shoot out, reaching for his wrists. The creature isn't about to let someone so vital and powerful escape from it. It quests around insistently, intent on ripping every shred of clothing from Heine.
no subject
Heine is on the edge of passing out. He can't focus on anything and the sensation of his clothes being torn away is all too much. He registers sensation, more than anything, and makes a strangled noise when he feels his legs being spread wide to prepare him for further exploration.
no subject
The tentacle inside him is moving deeper and deeper, almost seeming to writhe inside him, stretching his entrance open. This is wrong. Should be wrong. He should be fighting to get away. Instead, his legs are spreading wider of their own accord, his cock hardening, a low whine sounding deep in his throat.
Self-loathing isn't a foreign sensation to Jade, but he feels it more keenly now than ever. He must look ridiculous like this, allowing himself to be fucked by something not even human.
Not that Professor Rammsteiner is in any state to be looking at him. The tentacles seem to be trying to feel out every inch of him, coiling languidly over his chest and stomach, feeling out the small of his back, his hips, his cock. The pressure suffocating him lightens - the creature doesn't want to accidentally strangle a potential mate.
no subject
As Jade spreads his legs, the creature is encouraged to try with a second. It teases the tip around the rim of his entrance, tugging from time to time to test his receptivity. With another appendage it senses that Jade is becoming aroused; the one in his mouth rewards him by exuding more slick and retreating enough so that Jade can suck on just the tip.
no subject
(He's not so far gone that he can't spare the time to wonder just what they were planning for the Second Task.)
Meanwhile, the creature is encouraged by Heine's passive acceptance. It curls around his cock more purposefully, as smaller tendrils rub against his hole, covering the entire area in a layer of glistening slick. There's much more slick on Heine than there had been on Jade; the creature senses that Heine might put up fiercer struggle than the smaller human ensnared in its other tentacles.
no subject
Heine has to resist the urge to look over at Jade. But soon, he doesn't have much of a choice; the tentacles still almost surrounding him, covering all the skin they can reach with that mind-altering slick, begin to move him through the water to be closer to Jade.
It's easier for the creature to have both mates closer together. It nudges Jade to spread his legs a bit more before it raises its ovipositor, even thicker and fuller than its other appendages. For the moment it just holds it ready while trying to spread Jade's entrance with two prying at his hole and a thicker one thrusting in and out of him.
