There's something clinical about the way Professor Eichel is watching Professor Rammsteiner, Jade decides. Like a scientist studying his subject - but not quite. More like a businessman assessing the value of goods.

But, more and more, Jade finds his gaze drawn towards Professor Rammsteiner, feeling an odd mix of curiosity and something strangely unpleasant. In a few minutes, he'll be the one in the tub, trying to squeeze the eggs out of his body as Professor Eichel looks on with that cool gaze of his. It's not a good thought. He wonders if he'll be like Professor Rammsteiner, his stare vacant as his body struggles to relieve itself of its burden.
