The last group of eggs—almost a barrage—leaves Heine feeling uncomfortably full and heavy, each of the spheres surrounded by a large amount of fluid. A glance down reveals that he's starting to show, stomach curved outward in an unfamiliar way. And as the ovipositor shoves a bit more, pushing the mass of eggs and slick deeper into him, he realizes that all those other appendages he'd seen underwater weren't just for show. He'll have to take more... just like Jade, whom he can see a few feet away, turned upside-down and head stuck underwater. His stomach is slightly distended, too, and Heine thinks he can see the grotesque movement of eggs shifting under his skin.
Heine tries to move again, to at least do something to keep Jade from drowning, but as soon as he does the tentacle still in his mouth shoves its way down his throat and swells with a next gush of slick so potent he stops stock-still. It feels good. He should stay. Breathing shallowly only through his nose, Heine sags down in the grip of the tentacles again, staring blearily at Jade as his body is flipped back over and up so he can breathe.
The second ovipositor is already in place, deep enough to keep gravity from dragging any of the already-laid eggs from the host. It's in so deep that even as one egg is being deposited inside Jade, the second one traveling through it is stuck right at Jade's entrance. Another push and both slide into his passage. A third, fourth and fifth are quick on their heels. Some of the eggs are somewhat larger than the others, not perfectly uniform, and the six and seventh from this ovipositor cause its girth to bulge even more than the others before they make it to Jade.
