Heine tries to resist, but he loses all sense of up or down after a few seconds, vision fading at the edges. He knows he's about to pass out, but even then he can't do anything to stop it. As his body is going limper, the creature raises him back to the water's surface so he can breathe. With Jade, meanwhile, the tentacle curls itself firmly around his body. It moves slowly around him, finally stopping with the tip at his mouth.

Jade too is lifted to the surface so that he doesn't completely drown. A second tentacle joins the first on him as the coils of the first loosen, pressing between his legs and up under his robe.
